Alien Perfume by Thierry Mugler, Alien, an oriental woody fragrance for women and also the name of a collection of fragrances on the same theme, is the brainchild of perfumers Dominique Ropion and Laurent Bruyere. The two based their mysterious creation on three distinctive notes. The top note of jasmine creates an exotic introduction while the woodsy heart note provides an earthy twist. The base note of white amber serves up a warm expansive foundation that’s strangely familiar and comforting. With its eternal longevity and enormous sillage, the perfume is especially well-suited to evening wear in the fall and winter. A single application has the ability to last through the day and into the evening. The presentation bottle is as otherwordly as the fragrance itself. A deep purple glass flacon, the container features angles and metallic accents popularly associated with extra-terrestrial life.
